I was just delighted to find that support for MSN has been added to Talkonaut.
Unfortunately, I've come across a rather large problem. After signing in to MSN on Talkonaut I received about 100 invitations all from people who were previously on my contact list. I clicked 'No' to one of them and the invites vanished but these people remained on my list. I signed out of Talkonaut and went to my computer to sign in, and all these people have been added to my contact list. Has this happened to anyone else?
Hello.
Ok. When you sign up to MSN transport service in Talkonaut, you get all your MSN contacts imported to your Jabber/Google Talk/Talkonaut roster. It's a bit strange that you got hundreds of invitations (becase they should be invited already). So we will take a look on this issue. You can easily remove all your MSN contacts by "Unregister" from MSN transport: Menu->Other IM->MSN->Menu->Unregister. Regards, Ruslan.
BTW, can you please contact us over email on team@talkonaut.com ? Thanks.
Hi.
I had the same problem. I belive the issue might be related to the MSN/GTalk issue. The MSN contacts get ported or parsed to gmail/talk-contacts. This obvioulsy uses a list from MSN which includes all the contacts you've had on MSN ever. (Not good!). In addition, when you log on to Gmail or Talkonaut, you will be logged out from MSN. These are obvioulsy known errors. I had to delete all MSN-parsed contacts from Gmail. I had to block all or delete all re-invited MSN contacts that I did not want/no longer have use for. However, I belive that this has ruined my Gmail account in a strange way. I can no longer enable chat in Gmail. If I do enable it, all links (mails/labels/settings) simply do not load. Or if they load, one of 10 times, they only reload the same window, but mark a mail as read (as an example). In addition gmail on my mobile (the application) work one out of ten times. It gets an java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException. With no known cause. Can all these issues be related?
Hello.
We know about this problem and at the moment there is nothign we can do about it, the transports are very buggy and we don't have time to code our own. So, I just don't recommend to use them. Regards, Ruslan.
All these problems have been already solved in the current release (3.00.00)
